New template, new step !
A new milestone for iteration3d.fr!
A new template now allows you to generate customizable round boxes with lids, including dimensions, fit, fillets, and more.
But most importantly, it's the first multi-object model available on the platform—a major step confirming iteration3d’s ability to handle more complex 3D models made of multiple nested parts.
A technical breakthrough, opening the door to new possibilities...
Short post to end this June. A new template for on-demand generation of round boxes with lid in 3D STL format is arriving on iteration3d.fr. And despite appearances, this marks a new milestone for the platform.
What’s up, Doc?
This template enables the creation of circular boxes with lids. You can define their diameter, height, wall thickness, whether to include a bottom fillet or not, and even a clearance value to ensure a proper fit between the two parts.
"Uh, that’s it?" you might say? Yes, but as France Gall once sang, "It might be a detail to you, but for me it means a lot." Why? Because it’s the first template designed to generate multiple objects that form a single model.

That hard?
The possibility for a model to consist of several objects had been anticipated during the design phase of the generation engine. But as always, theory and practice are two different things. The first multi-object models generated on the platform confirm that this entire mechanism works well.
It was also necessary to ensure proper display of the different parts of a model in the user's web browser. That’s now done.
In short, the platform is now ready to generate and publish more complex models composed of multiple objects.
